According to the IUCN and WWF, there are 15 million metric tons of plastic released into the oceans every year, and plastic makes up 80% of all marine debris found from surface waters to deep-sea sediments.
Plastic is in everything, as useful as it is, excessive use and ineffective waste makes it rapidly become one of the most widespread pollutants on our planet. It’s a truly global crisis, threatening food safety, human health, coastal tourism, and exacerbating climate change.
- Material Matters
300 YEARS, is the average time the plastic takes to decompose in the nature, while Nonwovens need 3 MONTHS. Nonwovens, quite simply, are innovative, high tech, engineered fabrics made from fibres. These fibres or filaments are entangled together in a web-like structure to form different bonds through mechanical, thermal or chemical modification. Moreover, Nonwovens are becoming substitutes for plastics and papers, reducing huge consuming of forests.
Aligned with the motivation to reduce waste and seek out sustainable alternatives, “Green Consumers” are on the hunt for biodegradable options which can mitigate the environmental impact of single-use plastic, such as PLA nonwovens.
- Small steps to the Big Vision
A platic-free world, with the big vision ahead, a small business as we are, has to take action from small steps. NonwovenEco is our effort. The mostly effective way and easy actions to reduce plastic problem is reusing daily stuffs whenever possible. With the typical features of durability and reusability, for instance, one nonwoven fabric bag can be reused dozens of times, thus reducing correspondingly the disposable plasticwares.
Starting from 1998, Our production lines are manufacturing 5 millions nonwoven bags and packaging yearly, which eliminates at least 0.2 billions of plasticwares. In addition to these, for organic agricultural industry, and for home textile industry, our products of NonwovenEco brand are playing an increasingly important role in environmental protection.
